Hello everyone!! I thought it was about time that I give you all the details about the trip I will be going on as well as how I will be serving in both Colombia and Ecuador!
ECUADOR !!!
In Ecuador, I will be working with three different ministries: Inca Link/Casablanca, Pan de Vida, and Kingdom Life Ministries.
Inca Link: This is my ministry base while in Ecuador, my team and I will be staying in their guesthouse, Casablanca! The guesthouse managers help to mobilize my team and equip us to partner with local ministries that we may serve with. Ministries may look like serving children with disabilities, children living on the street, women who were formerly trafficked, and many more.
Pan de Vida: The vision of this ministry is to share the Gospel through meeting the tangible needs of the locals in Quito! This may look like serving meals, teaching/ learning vocational skills within a training program, and serving in a children’s club.
Kingdom Life Ministries: Ran by a couple named Bob and Lori who moved to Ecudor in 2013, the goal of this ministry is to raise up disciples and plant churches in Cuenca! Specifically they cater towards youth, desiring to reach, disciple, train, and send them to share the Gospel!
COLOMBIA !!
In Colombia there is only one specific ministry that we plan to work with currently! (of course we will serve and share the love of Jesus everywhere we go)
Ciudad Refugio: With this ministry, my team will come alongside them in order to help the ministry accomplish their visison of restoring the people of Medellin. Within this ministry they have a place that serves as a rehabilitation and recovery center, homeless shelter, church, bakery, children’s ministry, feeding program, prison ministry, and so many more!
TIMELINE:
I have to be in Georgia on January 13th, 2024 for two weeks of training and will head to Ecuador very soon after that (exact date is up in the air until plane tickets are bought!). I should be back in the states by April 27th, 2024!
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO PARTNER WITH ME?
I’ll be honest with you, I have wrestled with the word partner for so long. I always saw it as a term that ministries used to beautify the fact that they are asking for your support financially. While that is a portion of partnership, it doesn’t capture the entire heart behind the word. The way I see it is when you partner with me, whether prayerfully, financially, or relationally, you are getting the oppurtunity to see the Lord move in ways that maybe you don’t get to see in the ministry that you are involved in daily. Each of us has the specific mission that the Holy Spirit has laid upon our hearts and while we may not have the same mission we are called to encourage and support one another like Paul did to the churches he had planted.
So just as I have asked you to partner with me in whatever way you can, I would also love to be praying for you and the mission you are walking in daily.
